MATBET is the acronym for Matilde Bettati, designer and founder of the brand.

I was born in a very fascinating world made of history and details. Always following artistic studies MATBET is the outcome, the combination between my family business, handmade worldwide rug dealers for over 20 years, and my profession and passion for the design. I graduated at Milan Polytechnic specialising in industrial design. I plunged myself into the work environment right away as collaborator of studio Gio Tirotto. Here I discovered and kept discovering the strength of culture and details that turn an idea into a project.
